About the Foundation
The Serenity Foundation was created as a Legacy project for Serenity Burns who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on May 24th, 2008.
The purpose of the foundation is to help provide relief for families with children in medical crisis. When a family has a child suddenly critically injured or sick the world collapses for them - we want to be able to help prop up a small corner of their world. We will accomplish this through new technology utilizing social media and web 2.0 capabilities, financial support and other efforts to help have a structure in place for them in their time of need.
The Serenity Foundation relies on the help of volunteers and the financial generousity of others to enable us to meet our goals. There is very little in the world that is as crushing as having a child in mortal danger, with your help with your help we can make things a little easier on those families!

I commend you on a wonderful job advancing a crucial movement. Blood donation requires a grassroots groundswell, and we see eye-to-eye that social media provides the most effective tools to encourage it.
My deepest sympathies about Serenity. If I, or Takes All Types (http://www.takesalltypes.org) can support your mission through collaboration, promotion or otherwise please get in touch: ben@takesalltypes.org. Thanks.
