Cancer Chic

Inspired by the Television series, Kyle XY, where one of the characters has cancer and gets a shirt that says “Cancer Girl” while her boyfriend gets one that says “I’m with Cancer Girl”. When Serenity was first diagnosed with Leukemia I was in shock, beaten emotionally and mentally by cancer. Then a couple days into it, I thought of that tv show and decided that Serenity should “Own” her cancer. Preferring “Cancer Chic” to “Cancer Girl” we immediately had several shirts made.
Cancer Chic has now become our moniker. We’re working on a graphic novel where Cancer Chic helps kids with Cancer understand what is and what is about to happen to them.
We’re also selling “I support Cancer Chic” or “I support Cancer Dude” shirts. Purchasing one of these shirts will allow us to purchase a “Cancer Chic” or “Cancer Dude” shirt to give to a child newly admitted to our local cancer ward. A small amount will also go to support The Serenity Foundation.
